Marial Lodge
Boasting spacious decks overlooking the Rogue River, Marial Lodge is nestled at the northeastern edge of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Marial is both the name of the immediate community area and the lodge’s founder Marial Billings, whose family mined for gold in the area from the early 1900’s through the 1920’s. It features 11 cozy rooms with plenty of hooks for hanging your gear, not to mention hot showers and comfortable beds. In the main lodge, you’ll find books and photographs celebrating the history of the Rogue River, which provide the perfect backdrop at mealtimes. Meals are served on tables with ‘double lazy susans’ that are always full of hearty home cooked food. Marial Lodge is a short walk from Mule Creek Canyon, a spectacular section of river that we explore after dinner, so we can get a preview for the exciting rafting to come the next morning after a delicious breakfast.
